Every book lover’s dream when a book is adapted into a movie is that the movie will be exactly like the book. That dream was no exception when each of the Harry Potter movies was being produced. While there were many parts of the Harry Potter books that should’ve been included in the movies, there were also an equal amount of scenes that I believe did the wizarding world justice. The following list is ten times I think that the movies were just as amazing as the books.

1. Harry’s first trip to Diagon Alley link
When reading the books, Harry’s first trip to Diagon Alley seemed incredibly magical, and in the movie version of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, this adaptation did not disappoint! I felt completely engaged while Harry entered into this unknown world, and the set design matched what I had been imagining in my head while I was reading the first book.

2. Quidditch link
In each movie that Quidditch was featured, I was pleasantly surprised. The movies made Quidditch seem like a sport that colleges and universities around the world would actually play, and while I was experiencing those scenes, I found myself so caught up in the hype that I desperately wanted the sport to be real. The producers and directors could’ve made Quidditch appear cheesy, but the Quaffle, the Bludgers, the Golden Snitch, and each of the players were realistic enough to the point of believability.

3. Hogwarts set design link
Who doesn’t love how the movies portrayed Hogwarts? As soon as the first movie put Hogwarts into perspective, I knew that I was going to fall even more in love with the castle as each movie was released. Hogwarts was, and still is, home to so many people, and when reading the books, I imagined it to be immaculate and breathtaking. I was pleased that the movies did this aspect of the books justice.

4. Harry’s relationship with Sirius link
I think this is one of the most satisfying parts about the Harry Potter movies. When Sirius was first introduced in the third movie, I could already tell that he was going to be the Sirius that the books described. The relationship that developed between Harry and Sirius was well acted and believable. The two actors played their roles so well together that when Sirius died, and Harry screams in horror, I felt as though my heart had been ripped in two.

5. The portrayal of Umbridge link
There are villains you hate to love, and then there are villains you love to hate, and Umbridge is definitely the latter. The actress who played Umbridge portrayed book Umbridge precisely, and I can’t imagine myself ever liking her in any other thing she acts in. I’ll probably always see her as Umbridge.

6. Dementors link
When reading the books, I wasn’t exactly sure how to picture Dementors. The Dementor’s Kiss sucked souls out of wizards, so they had to be eerie, and I feel like the movies portrayed the essence of Dementors very well. They were creepy enough to where it was horrifying to watch but interesting to where you had to keep watching.

7. Dobby link
Everything Dobby is perfection. Everything—from the first time we meet him until the time when he dies in Harry’s arms. I have never met anyone in my life who is an avid Harry Potter fan who has something bad to say about Dobby. Dobby is definitely one of the biggest things that the Harry Potter movies got right.

8. The Tale of the Three Brothers link
I loved how the movies portrayed this fable. It’s described as being a children’s story, so when the movies portrayed this tale as being animated instead of using real actors, it caused such happiness for my nerdy side. This part of the movie was so interesting to watch—I feel like by using animated/skeleton-like figures to portray this story, it left it up for interpretation who each brother was in the movie.

9. Hagrid carrying Harry’s body link
There are many things about Hagrid that are great in the movies. However, one of the most memorable moments that included Hagrid was when he was carrying Harry’s “lifeless” body back to Hogwarts to pronounce his “death.” The blank yet emotional look on his face was priceless and matched how I pictured him while reading that scene in the book.

10. Snape’s memories link
Of course, I’d have to include my personal favorite scene from all the movies—Snape’s memories. While the movie didn’t include every part of Snape’s memories that were written in the book, this part of the movie was executed so perfectly that it moved me to tears. It is the part of the movie that Harry Potter fans had been waiting for, and the movie definitely did these scenes justice.

Quello che ogni amante di un libro sogna, quando questo viene adattato allo schermo cinematografico, è che il film sarà esattamente come il libro. Quel sogno non era un'eccezione, quando ciascuno dei film di Harry Potter era stato prodotto.

Durante la lettura dei libri, il primo viaggio di Harry a
Diagon Alley sembrava incredibilmente magico e nella versione cinematografica di
Harry Potter e la Pietra Filosofale, questo adattamento non mi ha affatto deluso! Mi sentivo completamente impegnato mentre Harry entrò in questo mondo sconosciuto, e la scenografia corrispondeva esattamente a quello che avevo immaginato nella mia testa mentre stavo leggendo il primo libro.

2. Quidditch link
In ogni film in cui il
Quidditch è stato descritto, sono rimasto piacevolmente sorpreso. I film hanno fatto sembrare il Quidditch uno sport che i college e le università di tutto il mondo avrebbero effettivamente giocato, e mentre stavo sperimentando quelle scene, mi sono trovato così intrappolato nell'eroe che volevo disperatamente che lo sport fosse reale.
I produttori e gli amministratori avrebbero potuto far apparire il Quidditch scadente, ma la
Pluffa, i
Bolidi, il
Boccino d’Oro e ciascuno dei giocatori erano talmente realistici da sembrare veri.

3. Scenografia di Hogwarts link
Chi non ama come i film hanno rappresentato
Hogwarts? Non appena il primo film mostra Hogwarts in prospettiva, sapevo che mi stavo innamorando sempre di più del castello ad ogni film che veniva rilasciato. Hogwarts era ed è ancora la casa di così tante persone e, quando leggevo i libri, immaginavo che fosse impeccabile e da mozzare il fiato. Sono stato contento che i film abbiano dato giustizia a questo aspetto dei libri.

4.Il rapporto di Harry con Sirius link
Penso che questa sia una delle parti più soddisfacenti dei film di
Harry Potter. Quando
Sirius fu introdotto per la prima volta nel terzo film, potevo già dire che sarebbe stato il Sirius che i libri descrivevano. Il rapporto che si è sviluppato tra Harry e Sirius è stato ben fatto e credibile. I due attori hanno recitato i loro ruoli così bene insieme che quando Sirius è morto e Harry urla dal dolore, ho sentito come se il mio cuore fosse stato strappato in due.

5.Il ritratto della Umbridge link
Ci sono cattivi che odiate amare, e poi ci sono cattivi che amate odiare, e la Umbridge è sicuramente il secondo. L'attrice che ha interpretato la Umbridge l'ha descritta esattamente come quella del libro, e non riesco a immaginarla in nessun altro ruolo al di fuori di questo.
Probabilmente la vedrò sempre come
Dolores Umbridge.

6. Dissennatori link
Quando leggevo i libri, non ero esattamente sicuro di come descrivere i
Disennatori.
Il bacio del Dissennatore risucchia le anime di maghi, quindi dovevano essere inquietanti e sento che i film hanno rappresentato molto bene l'essenza dei Disennatori.
Erano abbastanza raccapriccianti e orribili da guadare ma talmente interessante da continuare a guardare.

Tutto di
Dobby è perfetto. Tutto, dalla prima volta che lo incontriamo fino al momento in cui muore tra le braccia di Harry.
Non ho mai incontrato nessuno nella mia vita, che è un accanito fan di Harry Potter, che ha qualcosa da dire su Dobby.
Dobby è sicuramente una delle cose migliori che i film di Harry Potter hanno fatto.

8. La storia dei tre fratelli link
Ho amato come i film hanno rappresentato questa favola. È descritta come una storia per bambini, quindi quando i film hanno rappresentato questo racconto come animato invece di utilizzare attori reali, è stata una vera felicità per il mio lato nerd. Questa parte del film è stata così interessante da guardare - mi sento come usando figure animate/scheletriche per ritrarre questa storia, ha lasciato uscire fuori quello che ciascun fratello era nel film.

9. Hagrid che trasporta il corpo di Harry link
Ci sono molte cose su
Hagrid che sono fantastiche nei film. Tuttavia, uno dei momenti più memorabili che includeva Hagrid era quando stava portando il corpo "senza vita" di Harry a Hogwarts per annunciare la sua "morte". Lo sguardo vuoto ma emotivo sul suo volto era inestimabile e corrispondeva a come lo immaginavo mentre leggevo la scena nel libro.

10. I ricordi di Piton link
Naturalmente, devo includere la mia scena personale preferita da tutti i film, i ricordi di Piton. Anche se il film non comprendeva tutte le parti dei ricordi di
Piton che sono state scritte nel libro, questa parte è stata eseguita in modo talmente perfetto che mi ha spinto alle lacrime. È la parte del film che i tifosi di Harry Potter avevano aspettato, e sicuramente li ha soddisfatti.
